Bed sheet Pouf

Did I mention Naisha is big fan of recycling and re purposing. Project we are featuring today is making a colorful pouf out of old bed sheet. It just need 3 pieces of the fabric and your imagination.Take any bed sheet or any colorful piece of fabric, cut 2 squares/ rectangles/ rounds ( whatever shape you like) of equal size. Measure the circumference of the shape you have and cut another piece of that length. My pouf is  24 inches by 24 inches. So I used 2 square of 24 X 24 and one rectangle of length 96 X 15 inches. Width of the rectangle becomes the height of pouf. keep 1 inch sewing margin in all pieces. Sew together the squares one on each side of the rectangle leaving an opening for filling. Put decorative buttons and loops for the opening so that you can add filling in it and do adjustment whenever you want. Add some hangings on the corners or any other decorations and enjoy a colorful low seating for no or low cost.

You can convert any old cushions, fabric painting or any piece of fabric of your choice into easy pouf and give it a new life. All you need is Naisha touch....

Paint Chip Rangoli

Diwali is around the corner so is my first post for Diwali decoration. There are so many crafts you can do with paint chips but when I saw those colorful pieces first thing that came to my mind was rangoli. Get some coordinating color paint chips ( if you live in place where you don't get paint chips any thick construction paper will do the trick), cut them into shapes you love, decorate with things in hand( kundan, mirror, puffy paints) arrange in the way you like, possibilities are endless and you are all set for a low or no cost diwali decoration. Here is my rangoli
