We all cherish the smile and feeling of surprise recipient is having while opening the gift, that's the reason we try to wrap our gifts as beautifully as possible.
Let me share with you some of the envelopes I made to wrap your love for your near and dear ones. These are good enough to hold small gifts also which does not need a gift bag.
Very simple to make Orange ones are made from canvas fabric so the recipient can reuse it later. These can hold small jewelry box also so perfect for giving small size gift in stylish way. Yellow one is handmade paper which is folded in origami pop out diamond box folds (http://wonderfulinnovations.com/origami/origami-pop-out-diamond-envelope) and embellished in different ways. Cherish Valentine Roses for longer
Valentine day is over and I am sure everybody got roses and other gifts from their better half's. Today I would like to share some creative ideas to cherish those special roses for a much longer time.
1. Make a natural wall decoration.
you can dry up the flowers and use those in a vase or hang on a wall. For a quick tutorial on how to dry roses follow this link http://www.instructables.com/id/Dried-roses-the-easy-way/ . I just would like to add that since these flowers will attract dust for easy cleaning spray these with clear varnish for waterproofing and easy cleaning
2.Make a shower scrub
You can make a nice fragrant body scrub from the rose petals which will leave you body nice soft and heavenly smelling. To make the scrub you will need
1 part organic sugar (white or brown)
Rose petals (for every 1 cup of sugar 2 roses)
1 part organic coconut oil
1 part jojoba oil
1 clean sanitized glass jar(size according to quantity you are making)
Method
add half of the sugar in a jar and then add rose petals(washed and dried so that these are free of any moisture) then add the oils and add rest of the sugar. Make sure rose petals are nicely layered between 2 sugar layers . Close the lid tight and keep in sun for few days. Get ready for a amazing experience. This scrub has shelf life of 6 months
P.S This product worked very nicely for my dry skin. Since everybody has a different skin type so please use it as per your requirements.
3. Make gulukand ( rose Jam)
Gulukand is rose petal preserve and has many health related benefits. To read about some of the benefits please follow the link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulkand
To make an amazing gulukand you will need
1 cup rose petals
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup honey( if you are not a honey fan you can replace that with glycerin)
1/4 tsp cardamom powder( hari/choti ilaaichi)
1/4 tsp fennel seed powder(saunf)
1 sanitized air tight jar
Method
Mix honey, sugar, cardamom powder and fennel seed powder and set it aside. Take the jar and start layering up rose petals and honey mixture alternatively till you consume both. Put the lid and keep the jar in sunlight for 2-3 weeks( could be longer or shorter depending on how much sunlight you get) .
You can eat it as it is or add in the puddings.
4. Make Rose petal chikki (gazak)
Yes you heard it right you can make chikki with rose petals.
you will need
1 cup jaggery
2 cup nuts
1/4 cup dried rose petals
1 tsp gulukand
1 tsp desi ghee
Method

Add nuts and gulukand and cook for another 2 min. turf off the gas and spread the mixture on a lightly greased tray. Add rose petals and let it cool down. Cut into desired pieces and enjoy the delicious chikki while memorizing the moments when your better half gave you those roses.

HomeMade Bath Scrub
This is winter time and most of us suffer from dry skin. I hope this 1:2:4 diy scrub cubes will be as helpful to you as it was for me. All the ingredients are readily available in home.
You will need
© This is copyrighted to Naisha Arts
1 cup organic sugar(grounded)
1/2 cup grated fragrance free soap
1/4 cup coconut oil
few drops of food coloring (optional)
if your skin is too dry then you can decrease the soap quantity. Jojoba oil is another good option if you don't like Coconut oil.
Add the oil and soap in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 45 seconds, add sugar and mix well. Coconut oil solidify that is the reason you need to heat up, If you are using using any other oil which is already in liquid form you can skip this step and just mix all the ingredients together. After mixing take a ice cube tray and fill it with the mixture and let it settle. Take it out after half hr and you are proud owner of homemade soft skin sugar scrub cubes. You can use any fancy mold to make cute shapes. I have used star fish ice mold for my scrub.
Another thing I like about these cubes is that these are like personal size soaps(very helpful in travel too).Fill a jar with cubes and leave it outside the shower. Take one at time and no more messy soap scum , no wastage and not to forget jar filled of scrubs looks very nice in the bathroom.
I hope you enjoyed this information. Please share your experiences if you use this recipe to make some homemade scrub.

Terracotta miniature pots
Small cute things always fascinate me. I tried something new today and would like to share with you. I tried miniature terracotta pots without the pottery wheel.
To make these pots all you need is terracotta clay and your creative wings. Make sure you clay is moist, kneaded well and without the air bubbles. Make a template of the pot shape you would like to make and cut 2 shapes out of terracotta clay. You can stamp the clay pieces or make designs for the added texture. Add the crisscross on the edges and then add slip for better sticking. That's it work slowly to merge the seams so that 2 pieces stick together. You can be as creative as you want to add more designs on the pots

Ring Dish
Today I am going to share a very simple Naisha idea. All the materials are easily available at home. All you need is
1. Any bread 1 slice
2. vinegar 1 tea spoon
3. white school glue 1 tablespoon
4. baby oil
5.some acrylic paints
6. varnish
To make the bread dough mix crumbled bread vinegar and white glue. You need to knead the dough well so that everything is mix together properly. Make the regular play dough consistency. Use the baby oil on your hands when mixing so that it is not sticky. Add a color of your choice or leave it without color. wrap the clay in cling wrap and keep in fridge for a day. Your clay is ready to play and sculpt unique custom articles
To make the ring dish, roll the clay to 4mm thickness, Cut the desired shape( i used a square lid of a plastic box), leave it to dry overnight on an inverted cup and done. Remove the cup and let it dry for 2-3 days. once completely dry decorate in the colors of your choice. you can use kundan, mirror anything you have handy. I used brown mixed with a touch of black and then did the used the golden paint. I added some designs with 3D out-liner paint. once paint is dry apply 2 coats of varnish and done.
