Owl Cake

I arranged a owl theme party and wanted a easy owl cake so here is my version and it was ready in half hour
                                                         owl eggless mango cake

to decorate this cake I used following
1) 8' round cake
2)chocolate frosting
3)pineapple slices
4)slice almonds
5)icecream cone
take the cake and do a thing layer of frosting. if your kids like chocolate you can go with a thick layer too. and if you are not a frosting fan you can use whipped cream with a brown food color
then add the things as shown in the pic.

Paper Lanterns

Diwali is around the corner and what can be better than an easy decorating Naisha idea. To make stylish paper lanterns you will need :
1) any handmade printable paper. I used 24 lb parchment paper in antique gold.
2) print any picture of your choice and cut it out.
3) Glue the ends to-gather. and if you want Naisha touch do some embroidery or attach some lace or crystal to hide the join. I added the cross stitch and small tassels in the coordinating color
4) you can use it as is with a tea light candle
5) I wanted to go one step more and I added a cardboard base and wooden feet to make it not just a lantern but a nice paper lamp.

                                                               I added tassel and ghungroo

used as is over the tea light candles

added wooden feet to decorate my stairs
